Adult Sons and Broken Dreams

Question: Dear Luise: I just want to thank you for your website and your wisdom.  I am the wife of an Anglican minister based in Herefordshire in the United Kingdom.  I believe God directed me to your website.  I simply googled “my son hates me.”  It has been so helpful.  Thank you. How hard it is for all Mothers who work so hard and love so hard, their lovely sons.  Only to find that in adulthood their dreams broken. I am working through my own pain and I have find your wisdom so very helpful. Thanks, S.

Answer: Dear S.: I’m so glad my site has offered you some comfort. That’s my goal, no matter what the subject matter.

Those of us who have suffered the hate of adult sons and DILs are a very large group. Each of us thinking we were alone and many of us trying to figure out what we did wrong and how to survive. The lifting of the misplaced guilt can be like a “get-out-of-jail” card.

There has been such an overwhelming response on this subject on my website that my son and webmaster has created a web-Forum for us:

Please join us. There is great wisdom there and massive support. I just love it! Blessings, Luise
