Question: Dear Luise: I am having a great difficulty in finding information about a 1969 Pathfinder. One of my friends grandparents was going to sell it to my fiance and I. everything is working and original pretty close to mint condition. It has the gas, ford 330 bus engine in it, and only 40,000 miles on it. They said they would be willing to let it go for 1500.00 to us, as a early wedding gift. My question is, Is that worth it? it has new tires. But as I searched online for it, It doesn’t seem to be listed anywhere, or any similar to it. I don’t think that its quite a 24′ long one, it seems much shorter. I hope someone on here can help me. Thank you kindly. Sincerely D.
Answer: Dear D.: There is not much reliable criteria going back that far. It is well worth the price, since it is in such good condition and has low mileage.
The only drawback that I am aware of is that you will have trouble finding parts and will probably have to settle for used parts. In addition, you may not be able find mechanics who want to work on it. If you are mechanical, that would help.
For the right person, it would be perfect but only you can decide whether that’s you or not. Blessings, Luise
