My Vintage Cardinal Travel Trailer Needs Some TLC
Question: Dear Luise: I was directed here online when I was inquiring about vintage, Cardinal Trailers. I want to see what there is out there on do-it-yourself reupholstering and fixing up my new vintage 70s Cardinal (who can use a little love). Thank you in advance. R.
Answer: Dear R. I hope someone responds to you inquiry here. I have no experience in reupholstering but vintage RVs are a perfect place to do that since having it done professionally would probably cost a lot more than you paid for your rig. I expect any upholstering class would be helpful even though they are focused on conventional furniture.
Cardinal trailers are presently made by Forest River. They only go back to 1996 so I don’t know if your Cardinal was picked up by them or is a separate entity. You can check their website at: www.forestriverinc.com . They have a great reputation. Blessings, Luise
