I Have Found Your Website Inspiring

Question: Dear Luise: Hello, My name is Shelly and I am a writer for the National Directory of Family and Marriage Counseling. I have simply stumbled across your blog and I have found it so inspiring. Thank you for offering your insight to people with a question and answer based blog. I don’t have a question but rather just a comment. Thank you! And I love the name of your dog! Take care, Shelly

Answer: Dear Shelly: What a breath of fresh air you have brought to my site! Thank you so much! And thank you for the work you do as well.

I love what I am doing and it is really great to feel useful at 81 years of age. I’ve met a lot of wonderful people from all over the world in the three years since my son designed my website for me and I hope to continue for a long time to come. People need to be heard and so there have to be listeners. Also having someone looking at your issues who is not in the middle of them can often prove useful

It’s funny how my Chihuahua got his name. I got him at the local animal shelter and was given a coupon for a free visit to the vet when I picked him up. I hadn’t even thought about a name for him yet but at the vet’s that was the first question she asked: “I wonder what you are going to name him?” And I said “Me, Too!” LOL! And that was that! He is so little. He only weighs 4 pounds but the name fits…he doesn’t want to be left out of anything! Blessings, Luise

About Luise Volta

Luise’s long life has brought her to being the great grandmother of four teenagers. Born in 1927, the miles in between her teens and theirs have been full of falling and getting up, learning and growing and then falling and getting up again. A normal, though not simple, process. She has had diverse careers in nursing, teaching preschool, interior design, Real Estate sales, insurance adjusting and dairy herd testing. She’s lived in the Mid-west, South and West Coast. Luise is married to the love of her life, Val, born in 1911. Their little terrier, “Rosa,” makes most of the major decisions at their house, (or thinks she does).
