Question: Dear Luise: Should I give my ex boyfriend a big teddy bear for Valentine’s to try to win him back…even though he doesn’t answer me when I call him? We broke up 2 months ago and I still like him. P.

Answer: Dear P. I hate to have to be the one to tell you this but it’s best to leave him alone. You will just widen the gap between if you give him gifts, call him and generally keep after him.

He may come back. But the way you are approaching him at this time is probably driving him further away.

In the meantime…look around you and see what else is out there. The fact that you still like him doesn’t mean your life is over. Respect his choices. He doesn’t want to be with you at this time. And then make some new choices of your own. Blessings, Luise
