Have just purchased a 1963 Chinook 14' travel trailer. Need to fix roof leaks, of course but the cabinets are in beautiful shape! Has 2 large closets, one has a portapotti but used to be for something else. Any ideas where I could get a floor plan for it? M.

We purchased a 1948 King Trailer (Canned Ham). 12 feet. The Company (King Trailers) was based in Torrance California and produced trailers for 10-12 years. Would you have any information on them? thanks. B.

E. - There is no pricing available for trailers 40 years old that I know of. It is very rare to find one in the condition you describe. I would pay what they are asking in a minute, if I were looking.

Hello!
I have found a 1973 Caveman trailer--it looks to be in pretty good shape with everything working, sound roof, no rusting out areas. The interior looks as though it has not been remodeled but has been very well taken care of, as it looks like 1973-style cupboards, etc. The party selling it is asking $2200 - what do you think a ballpark amount would be to pay for the trailer? I have been searching online but haven't found anywhere where I could get pricing information. Thank you!E.

Hi, we just purchased a 1979 Winnebago pull behind 25 ft long. Used it this past weekend, kids loved it. I have not been able to find replacement parts or any other information on it. Just making do or making other parts work that need to be replaced. Your website was somewhat helpful as I got some other links to check out. Thanks again for your efforts.

P. I would go to a RV parts store, maybe more than one, and outline the issue with them. Many are very creative when it comes to problem solving.

Dear Luise, I have a 1954 30' vintage Viking trailer that was made in Anaheim, CA and the company no longer exists. The original toilet is not in it, and I want to know what was there. W/o the company to contact, I was wondering if you had any ideas. I want to get a more 'house'like toilet rather than a plastic one, but I'm finding that the hole to hook it to in the floor is very close to the wall only about 8 inches away or so....

Any ideas? Thanks. I'm making this sweet ol' gal who has been in my life over 30 years, a respite for folks to come and stay in (friends, acquaintances only) and it is such a fun place to hang out. I love it! I will await your reply… P.

Regarding Phoenix Travel Trailers: My late parents owned a Phoenix Travel Trailer from mid 1960's Torquoise Blue and White with front Dinning, 18ft Single Axle. I would welcome any information on any of these Travel Trailers that still exist.
Tom Rogers 309-620-6071 or stillwatersranch @ hotmail.com If you find this post while researching please, contact me if you have any information.

I just got a 1969 trailer, it reads it's a miricle trailer. Is this a real company? Do you have any information that could help me in getting this restored to condition. D.

I am really hoping you can shed some light for me. This vintage thing is rough territory. I have an opportunity to purchase a 1963 Kencraft trailer. It is immaculate on the inside. This is off pictures so far. I have to drive a hour to view it in person. The outside looks good too. This is a realtor that has inherited this through a property and is offloading it at a killer deal as he knows nothing of trailers. This was used as a guest house. Let me tell you...the pics are amazing on the inside. Clean and looks like original appliances or 70s. He said the tires are in good condition but again knows nothing about it being road worthy etc. What do you know of this brand and what should I look for besides leaks, rust and the seams on the outside? My husband and I are not handyman people but can do small things or hire people to do it. I'm hoping this works out, because she just looks so my type. I would like to keep her style true to her era. what about parts etc? I also heard about older trailers having axles/rims that were all-in-one, meaning dent the rim, replace the whole axle. is that true?

Thanks K.

I am currently restoring a 1960 Fan 12 or 13 foot travel trailer and am pretty close to finishing it. One thing baffles me and I need some help. The sink drain just has the fitting under the sink and the pipe is rusted off and is gone. I have no idea where it was supposed to go and find nowhere in the vacinity a graywater tank or a hole big enough for the pipe. Can anyone tell me what the sink of this vintage emptied into?

hello, we have a 1966 pathfinder that we redid interior on,it turned out pretty sharp. The question I have is with the furnace.I get a good flame when pilot is lit but when I turn it to ON the flame goes out.Just replaced the thermo cuppler but it did not help. Also how can I find serial # for the furnace? thanks

Hello,
I have a 1964 Pathfinder and am wondering the weight of it because my van isn't supposed to pull anything over 4100 lbs. It's pretty much all original. Is the way the old one's lean hard on the trailer hitch since it has only one set of tires (not tandem axle) a problem on a 1998 GMC Safari Van? Have to take a long trip and don't want to have trouble with car or trailer. Please help.
Thanks, Abigail
