Lois might want to consider a folding trailer. I have a Chalet Arrowhead (A-Liner is another brand) Inexpensive to tow, comfortable for one + pets, and lots more secure than the traditional 'tent trailer'. I carry my wardrobe in dust-proof packers in the bed of the TV (Ford Sport Track). The truck bed has a locking cover. No load/unload as w/pickup camper and your TV becomes a runabout as soon as you unhitch.
