Answer: Dear P.: Good question. I would suggest that you not take anyone’s word for it. We are all very different and what works well for one person can be next to impossible for someone else.
Start your own research project. Use the web to identify the kinds of units that attract you. Then visit the dealers who carry them and simply ask for a demonstration followed by an attempt on your part to do it yourself. You can also look for used units and do the same thing. Take your time…you will always be glad you did.
Many years ago, my husband and I bought an Apache Tent Trailer. He was into the guy thing and thought the set-up (and take down) was his job but I convinced him that there could be a time when I would be called on to do it for one reason or another. I felt I should be prepared, not helpless, if he became ill or was called away on emergency. I didn’t find it all that hard and there were times when I stepped up to the plate.
Research can be fun. If you meet with resistance, you will know right away who’s not going to get your business when you are ready to buy. Blessings, Luise
