Question: Dear Luise: I purchased a 1955 travel trailer. 15′ canned ham style. The title says Sanga. It has a porthole window on the door. I believe it was made in San Gabriel CA but more than that I don’t know. Any ideas about the model or where I can get the original floor plan and paint scheme? M.
Answer: Dear M. I enjoyed reading your “canned ham” description. I’d never heard that before and know exactly what you’re talking about. However, Sanga doesn’t ring a bell.
Putting it out on this website may bring you some answers. Also, I would go to the San Gabriel Chamber of Commerce. Sometimes they have a historian and can provide information and a contact number for former businesses. Blessings, Luise

HI, i just read the post about the 55 Sanga travel trailer. I am thinking of buying one also. Did any info surface on this 15 ft. model or the Sanga brand of travel trailer? If so I would love to hear! Thanks – M.
So far there’s been no response. I will post it here if someone comes forward.
Hi, I inherited a travel trailer which my parents bought in 1955. The logo/decal had come off the outside and I could not find anything to tell me what make it is. I recently found the last registration with the DMV, dated 1979 and it states that the trailer is a Sanga. Yes, it has a “canned ham” shape and a porthole in the door. We went all over the western US when I was growing up and staying in this trailer was a joy. It is in pretty good shape and I am working on restoring it to some kind of former glory. I have no idea where it was made. V.
I have no idea where was made, either, but what lovely memories. Great project! Blessings, Luise
