How Can I View the Car-top RV

Question: Dear Luise: I was watching Let’s Make a Deal show when one of the big prizes was a camper (like a 5th wheel) that attached to the TOP of a regular car.  I assume that the show was run in the 1970′s since it was in color.  I am curious about this camper style because I have never seen it before.  I looked on the net but couldn’t find one.  I really would like to see a picture of one. Could you possibly find a picture for me?  Thanks. S.

Answer: Dear S.: I vaguely remember something like that, way back when. You might try these two URLs. If they can’t help you, they may be able to refer you to someone who can. Blessings, Luise

About Luise Volta

Luise’s long life has brought her to being the great grandmother of four teenagers. Born in 1927, the miles in between her teens and theirs have been full of falling and getting up, learning and growing and then falling and getting up again. A normal, though not simple, process. She has had diverse careers in nursing, teaching preschool, interior design, Real Estate sales, insurance adjusting and dairy herd testing. She’s lived in the Mid-west, South and West Coast. Luise is married to the love of her life, Val, born in 1911. Their little terrier, “Rosa,” makes most of the major decisions at their house, (or thinks she does).

tin can tourists may be of help too—I think the website may be http://www.tincantourists.com/ I would also like to see something like this–gosh, when we were growing up my folks didn’t have much money
so my dad made something very strange–he put it on top of his service truck, which happened to be a white ambulance (he was an electrician) he had a pic of hands around a lightening bolt on the sides of this ambulance–the think he built for the top well, it was two separate compartments with holes with screening on them—to this day I am so claustrophobic and that may be why! haha Annie in MI
